Who We Are
the church
Great Valley Presbyterian Church (GVPC) has a long and rich history. We have been around since just prior to 1710, and we are the second oldest Presbyterian Church in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We were founded by a group of Welsh settlers who believed in the movement of Jesus and who desired to grow in their knowledge and life with him, while seeking to share his message with others. Almost 300 years later, we share this same vision here at “the Valley.”
the youth
gvYouth consists of a variety of middle and high schoolers from a variety of schools in the Chester County area. We meet every Sunday night from 5:30-7:30 PM.
director of youth ministries – Evan
Evan is an ordinary person doing ordinary things for ordinary people. He is in no way a scholar. He is in no way perfect. He’s just an ordinary person. He joined staff over a year ago in September of 2007 after recently graduating from college. He has a beautiful wife, Amanda, and a beautiful daughter, Giselle. Evan enjoys doing ordinary things like playing soccer and football, going to diners late at night, reading books, listening to music, updating his Facebook profile, and drinking Starbucks coffee.
