The high school bible study on 2nd & 4th Thursday nights of the month will be entering a topical series called “Burning Issues.” The series is based upon several articles by Relevant Magazine, where a panel of today’s Christian movers and shakers such as Brian McLaren, N.T. Wright, Nancy Ortberg, and others tackled the tough topics that have arisen in our current culture. The bible study will begin by looking at specific biblical passages that shape the ethical responsibility of followers of Jesus. The group will then move into discussing the Christian response to the burning issues of the current culture such as war, injustice, consumerism, gay rights, human trafficking, the future of the Church, and more.

Umm I didn’t vote because none of choices appealed to me. I really can’t make anything that is during the week because of sports and other clubs and activities. I would vote to do it before Youth Group on Sundays (that is, I’m assuming we are still having Youth Group on Sundays). I know I’m not the only one that has sports commitments during the week.

That would be a “too busy.” But it’s all good. Yeah, I understand that people are involved in sports, etc. That’s why I gave options.
